Did You Know?
Despite its name, Playa
Flamingo is not a pink-
sand beach.
While the exact origin of
the name is unknown,
local tradition suggests it may have been inspired by an English-speaking visitor’s sightings of roseate
spoonbills—pink-hued
birds found in our mangrove that can resemble flamingos from
a distance.

Beach Cleanup Day
Help keep our shores and mangrove clean and protect local wildlife. ADI Flamingo joins the Blue Flag Committee in sponsoring our monthly beach and mangrove cleanups. Whether you have an hour or the whole morning, every little bit counts! Check out the Community Calendar for dates and times.
Community Support
ADI Flamingo is dedicated to building a strong, safer, and more sustainable community – and volunteers make that possible. We collaborate with local law enforcement and support the Ligas Altéticas Policiales youth program, partner with Marina Flamingo on environmental celebrations and educational activities, and work alongside Salve Monos and other organizations to protect our natural environment and enhance community safety.

For two decades, this annual charity event has shown how celebration, community, and generosity go hand in hand. ADI Flamingo is proud to partner with Mystics of Flamingo to support their charitable efforts. Every ticket, sponsorship, and donation helps strengthen important local organizations.
